Job Summary
The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aquatic programs and operations within our facility. This role involves managing staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing a positive experience for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for aquatic activities, and a commitment to promoting water safety.
Duties
Ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for staff, members, and the public,
in compliance with Regulation 565 for Ontario Public Pools.
Hire, train, and evaluate lifeguard and instructional staff.
Develop and maintain staff schedules, facility schedules, and lesson schedules in
coordination with other supervisory staff.
Plan, promote, and manage swim lesson session registration and scheduling.
Maintain all required facility documentation in accordance with club policies and
Regulation 565.
Communicate with members and the public to register participants, answer
program-related questions, and promote water safety at the club.
Be the main point of contact for lifeguard staff during club hours and remain on-call
for phone calls and inquiries.
Coordinate swimming programming and policies for Sports Camp (July and August)
in conjunction with the camp supervisory team.
Liaise with the Lifesaving Society to order materials, submit test sheets, and
develop leadership programming at the club.
Provide lifeguarding and swimming instruction for members and the public as
needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Certifications:
Current National Lifeguard (NL), Standard First Aid (SFA), Swim Instructor, and
Lifesaving Instructor.
Bronze Examiner
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
Aquatic Supervisor Training (AST)
Pool Operator Certification
Experience:
Previous supervisory experience in aquatics required.
Experience working in both private and public aquatic facilities is an asset.
Knowledge of pool chemistry and operation is an asset.
Skills:
Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. (Google Suite)
Knowledge of innovative teaching methods in an aquatic setting.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
