We are currently seeking to add experienced Rope Access Technicians to the team to work on general construction and maintenance projects. The worker will report directly to the operations manager and direct supervisors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Follow all Company Policies, Procedures and Instructions inclusive of health and safety regulations
Construction Worker
Preparing construction sites, materials and equipment
Removing debris, garbage and dangerous materials from sites using required equipment
Uses all types of power tools and large equipment on a project by project basis including but not limited to mechanical hoists, compressors and surveying equipment.
Assist with the Execution of projects from inception through to completion by means of rope access. These projects include:
Industrial maintenance, repairs, mechanical rigging and installations, on-site fall protection, rescue and training assistance
Facilitating safe work for Industrial and Commercial Repairs including welding, coatings, insulation, electrical, etc.
Inspection services include a full range of traditional non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions.
Ensuring the use of appropriate PPE for the task as well as ensuring operational safety of all personal equipment.
Liaising with Operations manager, Site Supervisor and site crews to ensure work scopes are understood and well executed to a high standard.
Traveling to various work locations throughout the region as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Level 1 IRATA is required
Rope Access Experience (1-3 years)
Construction Experience (1-3 years)
All Applicable OSHA certificates including, Working at Heights, Workers Awareness, Supervisor's Awareness
Has Canadian residency with a Social Insurance Number OR a current, valid working permit
Valid Ontario Driver's License with personal vehicle
Work Conditions And Physical Capabilities
Be capable of functioning in climatic extremes; Work under pressure; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Attention to detail; good Hand-eye coordination; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling;
Desirable Trade Skills
Welding, Steel Erection and Metal Work Experience / Tickets
Scaffolding Experience and Aerial Lift Platform Tickets
Inspection Qualifications
Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting Experience
Previous Rescue Experience is a Asset
Hoisting and Rigging Experience & Tickets
