Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook/Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation and baking techniques. As a Prep Cook/Baker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other components of dishes.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management as necessary.
Participate in the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils after use.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.

BAKING EXPERINCE REQUIRED

Pay: CA$16.00-CA$18.00 per hour

We have a position open in our awesome kitchen team to start immediately. We hold high expectations for ourselves and work in a professional environment focused on our guests by leading a great quality of life in an industry we love so much.

Our kitchen team is paid $16 to $18 an hour based on skills and attitude. We add 3 to $6 tips per hour based on attitude, teamwork, and work ethic.
