Job Description:

This is NOT a serving position, this is a management position.

This position requires that you work nights and weekends, with flexibility for time off.

Shift Managers, at the Boathouse Seafood Restaurant, are responsible for maintaining our guest satisfaction, while working through day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring that all employee productivity, quality standards, service efficiency, sanitation and training is maintained while on shift.

Ensure that all employees are wearing a proper uniform at all times.

Ensuring that all operational procedures are being followed and employee duties are performed.

Ensure employees are consistently providing friendly and knowledgeable service through consistent and fair on the floor coaching and development.

Ensure that all guest complaints incurred while on shift are handled appropriately and with a sense of urgency. Respond appropriately to customer inquiries and concerns.

Complete table checks and maintain a presence on the floor, engaging with guests, to ensure guest satisfaction and retention, especially during peak business hours.

Maintain high level of knowledge regarding the restaurant's products and happening's, communicating effectively with guests and staff members.

Shift notes and communicating effectively with Management team, documentation of all incidents that occur with guests and employees.

Perform Discounts, voids and comps when needed.

Ensure the restaurant always adheres to all legislative and government regulations (i.e., proper food and beverage service, health and safety standards, labour laws etc.)

Experience

Minimum 1 year experience in a high volume Food and Beverage environment in a Supervisory capacity

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interact professionally

Ability to complete your shifts, while handling multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment

Good judgment and decision-making abilities, while working under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
