Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals in need, helping them achieve their personal goals and thrive in the program. This position requires a compassionate, kind and caring person who can confidently deal with sensitive needs and has the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties

Provide direct support to individuals, assisting with daily living activities and personal care and hygiene as needed.
Help to foster independence and encourage skill development.
Assist program facilitators with supervision and encourage participation
Help to maintain a clean, calm and organized work environment
Ability to assist with administrative tasks including documentation
Contribute to the growth of the support team.
Teach clients new skills or concepts that promote personal development and self-sufficiency.
Exhibit leadership qualities by guiding team members and facilitating a positive work environment.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
Experience managing conflict and difficult behaviours
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Teaching experience or the ability to convey information clearly is highly valued. Candidates should possess a genuine desire to help others and be committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those they support in an inclusive environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
