The Role
The Finance team at Hannam Fertility Centre (HFC) is a high-performing, agile group driving financial excellence to support our mission of providing exceptional fertility care. We lead financial planning, analysis, and governance across core and satellite sites, ensuring sound fiscal management that underpins both clinical operations and long-term organizational sustainability.
As Manager, Finance at Hannam Fertility Centre (HFC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing and patient estimates. You will manage a talented team, enhance internal controls, and deliver financial insights that shape strategic decisions. This hands-on, fast-paced role is ideal for a results-oriented finance professional passionate about healthcare innovation and impact.
J ob Duties (including, but not limited to)
Lead full-cycle accounting for HFC and affiliated entities, overseeing accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare internal financial reports and variance analyses to support performance monitoring and strategic planning.
Manage internal controls, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with ASPE and audit requirements.
Partner with the Director, Finance to lead the development of the annual budget and long-range financial plans.
Consolidate departmental budget inputs and translate them into actionable financial models and dashboards.
Maintain dynamic cash flow forecasts to support both short- and long-term liquidity planning.
Oversee the Billing and Estimates team, ensuring timely, accurate, and patient-centered billing practices.
Monitor key performance indicators, turnaround times, and service-level commitments.
Collaborate with the HR Generalist to oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate timecard coding and compliance.
Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
Spearhead process improvement projects focused on automation, data integration, and operational efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or greater (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, etc.)
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or working towards the designation.
3-5 years related experience; minimum 2 years in supervisory/managerial capacity
Experience in healthcare or clinical services experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of ASPE, audit preparation, and compliance standards.
Experience with e-commerce and merchant services preferred.
Effective project management and multitasking skills; able to meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement, system change, and automation.
Comfortable researching and implementing new financial systems or tools.
The Centre:
On-site at HFC's Toronto location - 160 Bloor Street East, Toronto, ON.
Standard Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Office Hours 8 AM to 4 PM (with flexibility peak periods)
