Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Description:
We are looking for an accounting clerk to join the Accounting Team in our Markham office. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate looking to gain accounting experience and exposure within a corporation primarily operating in the United States.
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of accounting and administrative functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform accounts payable functions and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in monthly closing procedures
Prepare and file tax returns for various tax types
Perform various payroll administrative tasks
Archive accounting documents and assist in departmental filing duties
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance (i.e., college diploma or university degree)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of accounting software is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
