Our cafe wine bar is a local favourite known for quality service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a hard working team. We're passionate about great food and coffee, great wine and craft beer, and even better teamwork.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who brings strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to keep a team motivated and promote a culture of professionalism. The right candidate will have a proven track record in conflict resolution and be skilled at maintaining a respectful work environment that supports both the team, the management, clients, and will support the owners in their vision for the business. This candidate will assist in building a community-focused meeting space. Some experience with human resources or aspects of human resources is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations and uphold service and quality standards
Foster a positive team environment and proactively resolve interpersonal challenges
Communicate and assist in overseeing HR related duties such as job expectations and team development
Contribute to the growth and innovation of our wine and craft beer program, with opportunities to support events.
Collaborate with the owners to align team goals with business targets
Maintain compliance with labour laws and internal policies
Assist with scheduling, inventory, coaching, developing and team mentoring.

What You Bring:

Minimum 2 years' experience hospitality or cafe/bistro management
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Conflict resolution expertise and experience managing team dynamics
Familiarity with HR best practices including hiring, coaching, and employee relations
A passion for creating a respectful, high-functioning team culture
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Certification in Food handling practices
Smart Serve Certification

Base Salary:

$21 hourly plus, hours minimum 35-40
