McDougall Auctioneers is seeking a dedicated, versatile team member for a Warehouse / Yard Labourer to join our team at our Winnipeg location. This hands-on role supports both on-site and off-site auction operations, including setup, equipment operation, and customer interaction. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Job Description:
Work under the supervision of the Supervisor to coordinate auction setup and operations
Efficiently load and unload trucks and vehicles
Operate equipment such as skid steers, electric forklifts, and outdoor forklifts
Execute picturing, setups, organizing, and uploading images
Write detailed lot descriptions and assist customers during viewings and post-sale
Maintain attention to detail and use proper material handling techniques
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Set-Up & Site Preparation:
Organize and stage auction lots
Set up signage, barriers, and auction layout
Clean and prepare equipment or sale items
Equipment Operation (Preferred but not required):
Operate forklifts and skid steers for staging and load-out
Safely move equipment and pallets
Customer Service & Event Day Support:
Direct bidders and assist with check-in and registration
Provide support during auctions and answer basic inquiries
Cashier/Clerical (Training Provided):
Handle customer payments and issue receipts
Use auction software and basic POS systems
Release & Load-Out Duties:
Verify buyer receipts before item release
Operate machinery to assist with customer load-out
Maintain an organized, secure release area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary preferred)
Valid driver's license
Fluent in English
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
Basic computer knowledge
Equipment operation experience is an asset

Forklift and/or skid steer experience preferred (training provided)
Physically fit and willing to work outdoors

Willing to travel to off-site auctions if required
