We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitting Professional to provide exceptional in-home care for pets-and help maintain property safety through thorough home-watch duties-while owners are away. This grass roots role requires excellent customer service, sales, and clear communication to ensure peace of mind for clients and well-being for their pets.

About Acuity Advantage Home Watch

Acuity Advantage Home Watch is a licensed, insured, and bonded provider of Home Watch and Lifestyle Management services across Calgary, Rocky View County, Red Deer County, and surrounding areas. Known for reliability and discretion, we are now expanding into pet care-serving dogs, cats, and small companions. This is a meaningful, long-term opportunity to help build a grassroots service offering rooted in trust and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities _(assignment-dependent)_

Provide daily in-home care that may include:

Feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed
Playtime and engagement to support pets' physical and mental well-being
Cleaning litter boxes, cages, and managing waste
Monitoring pet health and behavior, with immediate reporting of any concerns

Assignment types may include:

Drop-in Visits (15-30 min): quick check-ins - feeding, bathroom breaks, basic interaction
Standard Visits (30-60 min): includes play, walks, feeding, and meds
Overnight Care: on-site, full overnight presence to ensure routine, security, and companionship
Dog Walking: customized exercise-walks, jogging, or active outings

Qualifications (Preferred & Valued)

Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) - Advanced animal care training from accredited programs
Pet First Aid or equivalent certification
Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong observational and communication skills
Prior experience with pet care (dogs, cats, small animals)
Flexibility for on-call and overnight assignments
Willingness to pursue Home Watch certification (training supported by Acuity Advantage)
