Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires proficiency in transportation management systems and a strong understanding of supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of shipments.
Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates on delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transit.
Utilize transportation management systems, including SyteLine and AS400, to track shipments and manage logistics.
Analyze shipping and receiving data to optimize routes and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate freight movements and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including shipment details and driver logs.
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette while interacting with clients and vendors to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and freight operations within the supply chain industry.
Familiarity with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding logistics operations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
