About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless flow of goods between sales, production, and transport. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, be proactive in managing logistics operations, and possess strong communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and process daily orders; communicate effectively with sales and production teams.
Coordinate with transport providers for order pickups and deliveries.
Track and control transport costs on a per-pound basis, identifying cost-effective shipping solutions.
Maintain and update inventory records accurately.
Prepare and manage shipping documentation (delivery slips, customs paperwork, commercial invoices).
Liaise with sales, customs brokers, and transport companies to ensure timely shipments.
Understand production floor operations to support seamless inventory input and invoicing.
Organize and maintain production-related documents.
Actively participate in the recall team as required.
Coordinate shipping and receipt of product samples.
Support additional logistics or administrative functions as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or shipping/receiving.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail.
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Positive, hands-on attitude with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving and follow-through skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.

Preferred (Not Required) Experience & Skills

Experience with international export logistics and shipping regulations.
Familiarity with customs compliance for imports and exports.
Working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff codes.
Experience sourcing and negotiating with freight and logistics partners.
Prior experience with U.S. freight providers and customs processes.
Inventory control experience.
Forklift certification.
Experience in the seafood or food manufacturing industry is a strong asset.

Work Schedule:
The start time for this position may vary depending on operational needs, with shifts typically beginning between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM and lasting up to 8 hours. Overtime may be required during peak periods or based on business demands.
