Villeneuve Engineering Services is located in Timmins, Ontario and is a provider of engineering, concrete testing, 3D scanning and 3D
metrology scanning services for commercial, industrial and mining based industries.
VilleneuveENG is now accepting resumes from civil engineering students for laboratory/field technician position starting this Fall of
2025.
The job position will be based at our office located downtown Timmins and you will report to the materials testing department and will
be responsible for, but not limited to:
Coordinate with co-workers and other technical personnel as required for each assignment;
On-site concrete testing services,
Travel to remote site for testing concrete;
Work extended hours based on Contractors requirements;
Maintain full communication with management team throughout duration of projects;
Communication on site with Clients;
Pick-up concrete cylinders, demould, measure, log and break concrete cylinders;
Complete field compaction testing services;
Complete laboratory testing services for soil samples
Organize and keep all CCIL laboratory documentation up to date;
Review and comply with the Company's safety manual policies and procedures, as it may be amended from time to time, at
all times;
GHS (formerly WHMIS) and other safety training to be maintained and current at all times;
Complete safety and fitting requirements of all necessary Protective Personal Equipment (PPE);
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Civil/Structural/Mechanical diploma program recognized by Canadian college.
Possess proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel;
Must posses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment tailored to meeting deliverables.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills
Holds legal authorization to work in Canada.
Preference will be giving to candidates with field experience and any experience relating to concrete or soils testing services.
ACI field Level 1 concrete technician certification is an asset.
