The Opportunity
You'll join a fast-growing, multidisciplinary team operating in the architecture, design, and construction industry. This role is for a strategic thinker and doer who's ready to get their hands dirty in everything from brand development to visual content creation, from shaping digital experiences to exploring the behavioral DNA of our business.
You'll help lead WDI's brand transformation journey-one that goes far beyond new colours and logos. We're talking about unlocking the true "us," crafting a market niche, and building systems that scale a consistent, authentic brand voice across all platforms.
This role includes client interaction, internal collaboration, and deep creative work. You'll finish with a story to tell-and a brand you helped build from the inside out.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the brand refresh initiative-contributing not only visuals, but also positioning, messaging, tone, and culture-defining insights.
Create beautiful, strategic content that tells a story-through photography, videography, writing, design, and more.
Design and execute campaigns across social media, email, and digital platforms that drive awareness, engagement, and growth.
Help shape our website, marketing materials, and digital presence-from visuals to user experience and beyond.
Collaborate with internal teams (business development, pre-construction, leadership) to ensure marketing strategies align with company objectives.
Be a client-facing ambassador when needed, attending select meetings and helping translate our story externally.
Dig into who we are as a company, identifying our behavioral brand traits and helping weave them into our internal and external identity.
Stay ahead of trends, tools, and competitors to ensure we're operating at the cutting edge of brand and marketing strategy.
Who You Are
A creative strategist who thrives in fast-moving, evolving environments.
A visual storyteller with a portfolio of photography, video, and design work-ideally within design, architecture, or built environments.
Someone who sees branding as more than logos-you understand the behavioral, emotional, and strategic layers of a brand.
A hands-on executor with experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro (or equivalent), email marketing tools, and social media platforms.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot when needed.
An excellent communicator-visually and verbally-with strong interpersonal skills and business maturity.
Curious, courageous, and deeply thoughtful.
A believer in the power of design to shape experience.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in marketing, branding, or communications (construction/design industry experience is a strong asset)
Proven ability to manage and deliver creative content across formats
Strong design, writing, and video skills
Experience with web content management (HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus)
Valid Ontario driver's licence (occasional travel required)
