Position: Operations Manager - Residential Construction

Your Role at Silvergate

As Operations Manager, you'll be at the center of our construction process-bridging departments, elevating standards, and ensuring every Silvergate home lives up to our reputation for excellence. You'll oversee everything from estimating and architectural design to site operations and post-occupancy service.

You will:

Lead and mentor our Construction and Project Management teams to deliver homes on time, on budget, and built right the first time .
Ensure seamless execution from pre-construction through final delivery-coordinating estimating, scheduling, vendor management, and trade performance.
Manage design teams to ensure architectural integrity, code compliance, and Silvergate's unique product vision.
Oversee contract management processes-from tendering and negotiations to vendor relations and compliance.
Champion homeowner satisfaction by ensuring efficient, professional after-sales service and proactive issue resolution.
Work closely with land development teams and municipal partners to keep site readiness and servicing on track.
Foster a culture of excellence through process improvement, team training, and cross-functional leadership.

What You Bring

A minimum of 8 years' experience in residential or commercial construction, with 3+ years in an operational leadership role .
A deep understanding of construction practices, Ontario Building Code, and full-cycle project delivery.
Strong background in construction estimating, scheduling, contracts, and multi-trade coordination .
A natural leader with excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in construction and project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, Microsoft Office).
Education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (PMP, CET, or Gold Seal an asset).
A valid Ontario driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
