Job description:

Ensure effective communication and program collaboration.
Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and policies.
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Order and purchase supplies and equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

Hold an ECE designation for a minimum of 5 years and be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a child care centre would be preferred.
Current CPR Level-C and Standard First Aid certificates.
Working knowledge of CCEYA, and Public Health regulations regarding Child Care Centres.
Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
Knowledge of licensing regulations
Skilled at working both independently and within a team.
Skilled in office works and computer applications including Microsoft word, excel
Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement programs in compliance with the CCEYA
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other ECEs and ECAs
Assessing and monitoring staff, trainees or volunteers. Providing information, referral, and advocacy services and/or report situation to the appropriate authority as required by law.
Monitor and evaluate program delivery for quality and to ensure the programs meet target deliverables.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a daycare or similar setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- CPR and First Aid certification
