Opportunity Description:

The Building Operator position will provide quality hands-on support in the field of Building Operations/Power Engineering.

Qualifications:

Strong planning, organizing and multi-tasking abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experienced in the use of SAP, ECMS and OLT
Able to balance multiple priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organization
A trade certificate or power engineering certificate would be considered an asset
Able to interpret policies and procedures to guide decision making
Able to interpret technical drawings/blueprints
Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and leadership
Must have exceptional knowledge of the Suncor permitting & lockout/tag out systems
Must be proficient in using MS office programs

Education, Skills & Experience

Must have OSSA BSO or CSO training certificates.
Valid OSSA accredited Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space and Fall Protection
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence and Abstract with a clean drivers abstract.
A minimum of 3 years related work experience.
Must be able to meet pre employment D&A testing requirements
Experience in maintenance work in the Fort McMurray oil sands is considered an asset
The successful candidate will be safety conscious, self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated a history of safe work practices
