DASSTAB is looking for a testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) technician to join their team. This is a field work position, you will be physically required to work at the construction site. Applicants with TAB Tech , HVAC Tech, or similar experiences are encouraged to apply.
Looking for 2 individuals to begin a contract-based role starting in downtown Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing and balancing is a practical application of mechanical HVAC engineering.
Technicians will use instruments to measure and adjust flow of air and/or fluid in ductwork and piping systems in newly constructed or existing buildings.
Projects include but are not limited to clean environment applications (hospitals, clean room, biotech, pharmaceuticals, research facilities) and high security areas (banks, airports, jails, military installations).
Preparing and submitting progress reports, including deficiencies list and safety meetings.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in this field is required
Construction site experience is preferred, ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Ability to lift up to 40kg
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle (this job will require travel within/around the Vancouver area)
Must have a clean criminal record
Basic computer skills are essential
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel)
High level of fluency in English
Good communication skills is essential
Must have a strong attention to detail and be well organized
Must have basic knowledge and experience with hand tools (drills, pliers, etc.)
Salary is based on qualifications.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
