Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior HR Assistant to support daily HR operations and assist with payroll, onboarding, benefits administration, and basic accounting functions. This role requires experience with ADP systems and a working knowledge of HR and payroll best practices. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
_ This position is intended for recent graduates, as work experience is not a requirement, however education in HR is a requirement. _
Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll & HRIS Administration
Manage and maintain employee data in ADP Workforce Now (or other ADP platform) .
Assist with the full-cycle payroll process , including timesheet collection, data entry, audits, and payroll submission.
Ensure accuracy in employee compensation, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate new hire onboarding processes, including preparing offer letters, collecting documentation
Facilitate new employee orientation and ensure all HR paperwork is completed accurately.
Benefits Administration
Support open enrollment processes and maintain employee benefit records and liaise with benefits providers for issue resolution.
Track eligibility, enrollments, and changes in benefits.
Recruitment & Hiring Support
Draft and post job advertisements across various platforms (e.g., job boards, social media, company website).
Assist in screening incoming resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Health and Safety
Help ensure company compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations
Assist in preparing incident reports and maintaining logs of workplace injuries or near misses.
Accounting & Administrative Support
Provide basic accounting support , such as processing employee reimbursements, assisting with invoice coding, reconciling payroll-related entries
Carry out any other duties as assigned in relation to Human Resources or organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Human Resources
Familiarity with payroll regulations and HR compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
