Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure all culinary operations run smoothly.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on food handling techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Contribute creative ideas for menu development and special events.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and safety practices.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with restaurant management practices is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with both kitchen and service staff.
