Welcome to Ontario Waterway Cruises. We appreciate your interest in our facility for your summer seasonal employment. We operate the Kawartha Voyageur, a small 45 passenger cruise boat that plies the waters of the Rideau Canal and the Trent Severn Waterway.
Our clientele, of mostly older adults, enjoy our crew's enthusiasm and dedication to a high quality of service. While enjoying the comforts of home, our passengers also enjoy speaking with our crew individually, as we are all on a first name basis. Passengers commend our crew on our wonderful food and the overall cleanliness of our ship that is always presented with a smile. Available Summer Positions
All available positions onboard run from Aug 01 until October 18. _ All staff are required to fulfill the entire season. _ Staff work a rotational schedule of 10 days onboard and 4+days off.
Servers -Our Servers work together in a team of 4, serving our passengers 3 set meals a day. They are responsible for setting up the dining room, washing all dishes, bartending when required, light daily housekeeping and communicating with passengers. At the end of each 5 day cruise - there are 4 hours of housekeeping duties performed by all crew. A good work ethic, excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with co-workers and working in a structured environment are required.
All serving staff are required to have prior to employment a current Smart Serve certification and Provincial Health and Safety At Work certification.
