Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of equipment and materials to and from job sites. A strong focus on safety, punctuality, and teamwork is essential for success in this role. Experience with float trailers and operating heavy equipment is considered a valuable asset.

Duties

Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport materials, aggregates, and heavy equipment between sites
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Deliver and offload materials at construction sites efficiently and safely
Maintain accurate logs of mileage, deliveries, fuel use, and hours of service
Communicate clearly with on-site supervisors to coordinate deliveries
Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal transport regulations

Skills

Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
Proven experience in commercial trucking, preferably in construction
Familiarity with float trailer hauling and oversize loads is an asset
Ability to operate or assist with heavy equipment (excavator, loader, etc.) is a strong bonus
Good understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks
Strong time management and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 55 per week
