Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial vehicle over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing heavy equipment operation skills when required.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Perform basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition during long hauls.
Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment for loading and unloading freight when required.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Familiarity with freight transportation processes and regulations.
Experience in automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills in heavy equipment operation are advantageous for this role.
Previous experience operating forklifts is a plus.
