Our client located in Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec is urgently looking for a Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator for a temporary position of 4 months.

The Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, packaging, processing and coordinating all outbound shipments from the warehouse to customer worldwide and for inbound receiving of goods and inventory management.

The Warehouse Coordinator also assists Sales, Logistics, Operations and Finance in ensuring on time delivery of customer orders, tracking and monitoring shipment progress and reporting any delays or discrepancies.

Job Description

Receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order;
Prepare orders or inventory for shipping; pulling materials; packing, wrapping and labelling pallets;
Review and verify items for shipments are consistent with orders placed; confirms quantities, destination, and method of delivery;
Pack and load all material for shipment in accordance with contractual requirements;
Complete order shipment by loading trucks and full containers efficiently; ensures accuracy and quality of orders to be loaded;
Maintain inventory records so that inventory lists reflect how much stock is in the warehouse at any given time and assist on reviewing of aging inventory report;
Organize space in the warehouse. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse neat; complying with established policies and procedures;
Document all errors related to orders that are shipped and received;
Update database to track shipments, receiving and back orders;
Perform physical inventory management, inventory count and reconciliations;
Perform other miscellaneous tasks related to shipments (i.e. makes copies, file records, labels inventory);
Prepare shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.
Maintain ISO compliance;
Responsible of the building maintenance;
Work with the team to improve processes;
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Expected abilities and requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position;
Minimum 6 months experience as forklift operator - forklift license or certificate a must;
Experience with International Shipments and their required documents such as Commercial Invoices, packing slips and Bill of Lading an asset;
Knowledge on packing, crating and loading full containers for international shipping;
In depth knowledge of shipping practices and procedures and an understanding of how couriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers operate internationally;
Familiar with all requirements of Incoterms such as Ex-Works, DDP, FOB, etc. an asset;
Thorough understanding of WHMIS legislation an asset;
Experience in inventory management an asset;
Worker must be able to physically perform the job functions, which may include repetitive heavy lifting;
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment demonstrated on a daily basis;
Ability to multitask while prioritizing and managing work flow demonstrated on a daily basis;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French;
Good knowledge of Excel and inventory ERP system;
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions with good judgment.
