Lubec Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing Construction Management Company located in Victoria, British Columbia that specializes in General Contracting and Civil Earthworks on Vancouver Island. As we expand, we are looking for an experienced, organized, and hardworking Finish Grade Equipment Operator to work in our civil division. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Excavators ranging from 5ton to 35ton with capabilities of grading, working in tight areas, and following directions.
Operate Skid steers with capabilities of grading, working in tight areas, and following directions.
Operate Vibratory Rollers for compaction purposes
Operate Dozers as required depending on the project assigned
Read and understand project drawings and specifications
Read and understand survey layout.
Projects that you will be involved with will include excavation and backfill of excavations, civil construction, demolition, stripping and grading.
It will be your responsibility to take care of the equipment including daily maintenance and inspections.
It will be your responsibility to follow Lubec Construction safety procedures for all different types of work.
Applicant will be asked to assist other staff throughout the day pending on the project that may involve labor work
Willing to work in other areas other than Victoria is an asset.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work according to deadlines and as a team player.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
You must have a valid class 5 drivers license and transportation to and from work.
A minimum of 5 years experience in similar role is required.
Civil infrastructure install knowledge of 1 year is required.
Willing to learn.

PERKS WITH LUBEC:
Hourly pay rate of $30 - $40 depending on experience.
2 Weeks Vacation Yearly
Work hours 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday with occasional overtime
