Job Title: Shipper & Receiver / Driver
_Location: Acheson, Alberta (Head Office)_
We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipper & Receiver / Driver to join our team at our Head Office in Acheson, AB. This is a key support role that ensures efficient movement of goods within our operations, supporting both local customers and Westvac branches across Western Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities
Pull items from inventory, package shipments, and prepare paper and digital BOLs for customer orders and branch transfers
Receive incoming stock and demand orders; verify accuracy against packing slips
Arrange pickup of goods from Canadian and U.S. suppliers
Label and store stock; manage cross-docking of demand orders
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; process shortage claims
Maintain warehouse, shipping area, and yard storage organization
Manage MSDS documentation and shipping supply inventory
Load/unload vans, flat decks, and customer vehicles using a counterbalance forklift
Deliver and collect items locally using a company vehicle
Occasional travel may occur, but rarely
Perform cycle counts and bin verifications
Conduct daily forklift inspections
Use various invoice submission software programs as required by customers
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role with forklift operation
Comfortable operating a counterbalance forklift and loading large items onto flat decks
Skilled in packing items securely (crates, pallets, boxes)
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Familiarity with computerized inventory and invoicing systems
Basic Excel or spreadsheet skills
Knowledge of dangerous goods procedures is an asset
Valid driver's license with acceptable abstract
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical & Safety Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically active tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Comfortable working in both warehouse and yard environments
Must follow all company policies, procedures, and safe work practices
Participation in safety meetings, training, and initiatives as needed
Use of an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) is required while driving; must comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage ranges from: $19.00 to $25.00, based on experience
