Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Demonstrators to support the hands-on lab components of our Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program. This position is ideal for experienced paramedics or healthcare professionals who are passionate about mentorship and clinical excellence.
As a Demonstrator, you will work directly with students in simulation and lab settings to reinforce core paramedic skills, demonstrate procedures, and support safe and effective practice aligned with program standards and provincial scope.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in preparing, setting up, and delivering laboratory instruction as per curriculum standards.
Demonstrate and coach key paramedic skills and procedures to students, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and program competencies.
Supervise students during simulation and lab activities, maintaining professional conduct and safety standards.
Provide individual and group guidance to students as they build technical proficiency and confidence.
Work collaboratively with faculty to align lab instruction with theoretical content and clinical objectives.
Ensure all lab materials, equipment, and environments are organized, clean, and operational.
Qualifications
Must hold a current Primary Care Paramedic license in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical field experience as a PCP.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience mentoring or teaching students is considered an asset.
Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with clinical lab environments, safety protocols, and simulation-based learning preferred.
