Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling techniques.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality control and log them.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food preparation techniques.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
