Our Financial Trustee is an important contributor to our organization, supporting financial and housing stability for vulnerable adults and seniors.
Founded in 1913, Evangel Hall Mission EHM is a multi-service agency that provides support to people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. The EHM residences are home to over 160 individuals and families, living in our two subsidised apartment buildings. Residence staff assist in managing physical or mental health challenges, provide support for tenants struggling with addiction issues, and support housing stability for our community. Through the drop-in program EHM provides hot meals prepared fresh on site, relief from the outside cold and/or heat, and access to critical services like showers and laundry for those experiencing homelessness. At EHM, tenants and drop-in participants alike can access spiritual care, volunteer and employment opportunities, and voluntary financial trusteeship. Our mission is to provide and create opportunities for people to forge meaningful connections and live in dignity. Our vision is to bring hope and leadership to address housing and financial instability in Toronto.

What you would bring to the role:
Successful completion of a diploma program in business, accounting, social service work, community services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Minimum of one (1) year of recent relevant experience

You have financial literacy, including an understanding of personal budgeting, debt repayment, personal income taxes, and accounts reconciliation

You are careful, diligent, and organized
What we would offer (a more detailed job description will be provided to candidates invited to interview) :
A competitive annual salary of in the range of $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience.
