Position: AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract
Job Description:
Cloud Architect:
o Accountable for cloud solution architecture design and support during the full life cycle of the solution.
o Develop and select migration strategies and approaches to move existing applications and workloads to the cloud
o Continues Improvement of solutions, architecture standards and guidelines and support creation of documentation to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations of the cloud architecture program
o Develop proof of concepts to prove new techniques
o Ensure quality, security and legal guidelines of the robust and high sustainable code.
Qualifications and Profile:
o An ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in AWS Solution architecture with around 10+ years of software development experience.
o Strong technical background in cloud computing including designing modern technology stacks, including microservices, containers and distributed systems
o Extensive working knowledge of cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft AWS, or AWS Cloud Platform (AWS).
o Track record of designing and implementing cloud migration projects
o Professional experience in application and infrastructure development.
o Professional experience in architecting and solutioning highly available distributed systems.
o Professional experience in the designing and implementation of continuous integration platforms.
o Familiarity with popular Infrastructure-as-Code platforms, for example, AWS CDK or Terraform.
o Working knowledge of at least one full-stack programming language, including Python, Java, Golang, or Typescript.
o Enterprise architecture experience for distributed systems and cloud implementation, including network, compute, storage and virtualization
oKnowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
o Associate/Professional cloud solution architect certification (preferably AWS or AWS Cloud, Microsoft, etc.).
