Operate mushroom compost processing equipment, such as mixers, pasteuriz-ers/sterilizers, and filling machines. Monitor mushroom compost preparation processes to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications. Maintain accurate records of mushroom compost batches, ingredients, and processing parameters. Package and store prepared mushroom compost in appropriate containers under speci-fied conditions. Transport mushroom compost materials within the facility using manual or mechanical equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, telehanders). Assist with the cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mushroom compost pro-cessing equipment. Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal pro-tective equipment (PPE). Follow strict hygiene and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination of substrates. May assist with inventory management of mushroom compost materials and supplies. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Education: No formal education required. Experience: No formal experience required; successful candidates will be trained in job duties. Language: No formal language requirement. Ability to work in varied (cold, damp, dusty) and controlled (specific temperature and humidity) conditions. Ability to handle heavy workloads, which can be physically demanding, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for long periods. Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards. Strong sanitation practices and awareness of hygiene protocols. Be willing to take a first aid level 1 course or other required training programs. Be willing to take any safety training and machine operating training programs.
