Operate machinery to fill bags, shelves, trays or other containers with prepared special-ized mushroom compost, ensuring proper fill levels and consistency. Load, unload and transfer crates, bags, farm produce, supplies and equipment for transport within the farm Perform general clean up of production and packing spaces to maintain a safe, efficient workplace. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict hygiene protocols Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, using personal protective equipment and adhering to regulatory and site specific standards. Assist with general farm and equipment maintenance, including cleaning, organizing and minor repairs of growing areas and machinery. May assist with other farm tasks as needed, such as mushroom compost preparation. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Education: No formal education required. Ability to work in varied (cold, damp, dusty) and controlled (specific temperature and humidity) conditions. Ability to handle heavy workloads, which can be physically demanding, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for long periods. Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards. Strong sanitation practices and awareness of hygiene protocols. Be willing to take a first aid level 1 course or other required training programs. Be willing to take any safety training and machine operating training programs.
