Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Advisor to manage and optimize our client's sourcing and purchasing activities in Calgary, AB. In this role you will bring expertise in procurement best practices, vendor negotiation, and contract management, while supporting the organization's operational and financial goals. This role is key in ensuring we obtain high-quality goods and services at the best possible value.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify optimization opportunities
- Source, Procure and ensure timely delivery of material and services
- Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders for material and service commitments
- Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management, and close-out activities
- Advise business stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain
- Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6+ years of directly related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and/or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing event, negotiation, and supplier performance management
- Experience in successfully leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to develop and execute projects, initiatives, strategies, or other opportunities to drive outstanding results and value creation
- Highly developed analytical and business acumen - solid business insight and commercial skills with a continuous improvement mindset and the capability to get results
- Understanding of and experience with engineering & construction project processes, and of the interfaces and roles of a Project team
- A strong understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes, along with strong negotiation skills
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to quickly build trust and respectful relationships with diverse groups
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
- Alignment with company values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing
- Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) is a preference
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Livelink, and Tableau
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
