We also offer integrated solutions for industry and research that include application development, custom software solutions, installation assistance and training services.
We are expanding our team and are looking for Senior Application Engineering/Technical Sales Representative. We are looking for an energetic, technically inclined individual who can contribute and grow sales in a Team environment.
A significant amount of time will be spent inside the office utilizing the tools we have developed for assessing application solutions. It is probation that after an initial training period the employee would prove capable of a role covering an area of responsibility in Ontario and the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities (inclusive of but are not limited to) :
- Following up on Leads from our website and supplier websites for new applications, determining the requirements and expectations
- Capturing the relevant application details and logging communication for visibility by the entire team
- Consult with our suppliers and our in house support staff to identify plausible hardware and software solutions
- Explore our integration capabilities and then recommending solutions
- Generating Proposals and Quotations for solutions that fit the application requirements-
- Specific assignment of projects with customers related to our products, Sensors, Vision Systems, Servo Presses, Leak Testers, SCARA & 6-axis Robots, Data Acquisition, etc.
- Represent A-Tech Instruments and our US based Affiliates at various trade shows
- Covering US Territories as Required
Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
- A University degree/College Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electronics
- Ability to translate technical issues into business benefits, as well as participate in technical discussions.
- Experience in sales of factory automation & manufacturing products or services
- Experience Selling Sensors, Instrumentation and Controls is a valuable asset
- Ability to effectively communicate Orally, Visually and in Writing.
- Be able to work effectively with other team members
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Must be Able to Travel to the United States and have a valid driver's license
- PLC, PC or Controls Programming Experience is an asset
- French is considered an asset

Probation period: initial 6 months
Work Days: Monday through Friday
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m + Occasional Overnight Travel
