Our client, a midstream company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Advisor to work a long-term assignment in Calgary, AB.

Cloud Architecture

• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services, tools, and technologies to meet business needs, considering factors such as scalability, security, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Architect and implement highly available and fault-tolerant cloud solutions, incorporating disaster recovery and business continuity best practices.
• Define infrastructure cloud architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring compliance across projects and teams.
• Conduct cloud infrastructure reviews and provide recommendations for optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvements.

Cloud Solutions

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft and AWS technologies.
• Define infrastructure cloud strategies and roadmaps, ensuring optimal utilization of Microsoft services.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft and AWS cloud technologies, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members.

Team Development and Mentorship

• Train and mentor stakeholders on cloud technologies, ensuring they are aware of the latest advancements, opportunities, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for adoption of cloud technologies in the organization by conducting workshops, training sessions, and presentations.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with business solution roadmaps and project teams (including data and development teams) to leverage cloud technology in support of modern, innovative solutions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams to ensure seamless integration and support of cloud solutions.
