Position Overview:

Cain and Associates is currently seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized leader in the distribution of plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and valve products. This role is based in Vanier, Quebec, and is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building lasting relationships, driving new business, and supporting technical product solutions across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in the industrial, mechanical, and construction sectors through field visits, calls, and industry networking.
  • Identify new opportunities, cultivate prospective accounts, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Deliver top-tier customer service including accurate quoting, issue resolution, and ongoing follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Plan and execute strategic coverage of the Vanier and greater Quebec City area, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Monitor and report on customer creditworthiness in collaboration with internal credit and operations teams.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, product showcases, and customer appreciation events.
  • Stay informed on the client's full product range and industry developments to position solutions effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 4 years in a B2B sales or customer-facing role, ideally within the plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, or industrial products sectors.
  • College diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Mechanical Engineering Technology (CET) preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with blueprint reading is a strong asset. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfortable with frequent local travel and occasional overnight stays.
