Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be part of a dynamic production environment supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manual Machinist

Location: Dartmouth, NS - YOU MUST LIVE LOCAL

Pay Range: $25-$32 per hour based on experience

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate manual lathes, drill presses, and milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring adherence to geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to guarantee quality and conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adapt to a changing work environment, managing competing demands and unexpected scheduling changes effectively.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of experience with CNC and manual lathe operations.
• Community College Machinist Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience using an overhead crane and rigging is considered an asset.
