Full Details:
Position Title: Lighting Artist 2
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 18 Months / 1.5 years long Contract (with possibilities of more extension)
Location: This role is based in Vancouver, BC (Hybrid role, 3 days per week mandatory Onsite work)
Start Date: End of March 2025
Pay Rate: 50$ - 65$ Incorporated + HST
OR
40$ - 55$ on T4
(Depending on years' of experience and skillset)
Job Description (Must - have Skills):
We are looking for a Lighting Artist 2 with below skillsets:

• Qualification: Must have 3 - 5+ years of relevant experience as a lighting artist to work on off-stick moments and cutscenes.
We are looking for a lighting artist with 3+ years experience to join our team working on off-stick moments and cutscenes.
Ideal applicants show a comprehensive suite of lighting and technical skills, a growth mindset in response to feedback, and a passion for creating compelling visual imagery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Craft compelling and performative lighting for cinematic cutscenes.
- Work with other departments to solve visual and technical problems.
- Leverage existing level light and concept art to achieve art direction targets.
- Craft lighting to convey the emotional story beats which propel the game's narrative.
- Adapt to artistic or technical challenges and thrive in a dynamic production environment.
- Communicate suggestions or concerns professionally with supervisors and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the level lighting team to create a seamless player experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrate a strong eye for the craft of lighting in games/VFX or Animated Features.
- Experience taking a shot from lighting blocking to final polish.
- Knowledge of cinematography/photography concepts and terminology.
- Ability to respond to feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or comparable 3D authoring software.
- A passion for storytelling through lighting.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- A proactive artist with a positive attitude.
- Collaborative team player with solid time management skills.
- Strong problem solving skills
