Working as part of the People Ops team, this role provides day-to-day HR coordination across areas such as onboarding, employee records, HR administration, employee support, and engagement. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on HR experience, including onboarding, and is looking to build their career by gaining exposure to a broad range of HR functions within a collaborative team environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and wants to develop their HR skills while contributing to projects and initiatives across the studio.
Term: Full-time, 1 year contract (subject to extension)
Target Start Date: Late October to early November
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, depending on business needs
What You'll Do
- Coordinate weekly onboarding and offboarding, from pre-boarding, orientation, documentation, system access, and team integration; liaise with Recruitment, IT, Payroll, and Production to ensure a consistent employee experience.
- Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee records in Rippling and other People Ops systems.
- Audit contracts, time-off balances, personal information, and other employment records regularly; track artist retention status and help ensure contract extensions are confirmed, submitted, and signed.
- Build strong relationships with artists and be their go-to contact for questions, guidance, and support, connecting them with the right People Ops team member when needed.
- Respond to employee and manager requests promptly, escalating matters to the appropriate People Ops team member when needed.
- Coordinate performance reviews, exit interviews, employee engagement activities, and other recurring HR programs and processes.
- Support employee communications and People & Culture initiatives, including learning and development programs, engagement surveys, benefits info sessions and other studio-wide projects.
- Support the People Ops Lead in weekly meetings with production leaders and follow up on related employee and contract matters.
- Identify and help implement improvements to HR processes, documentation, and employee experience.
- Handle confidential employee information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment, and provide other administrative support to the People Ops team as needed.
Requirements
What You'll Bring- 1–2 years of direct HR experience, ideally in an HR Coordinator, People & Culture Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience working across multiple areas of HR, with hands-on onboarding experience being essential.
- Experience working as part of an HR or People team within a mid-sized organization.
- Exposure to a range of HR processes such as employee records, onboarding and offboarding, HR administration, employee support, engagement, performance processes, or HR programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and colleagues across the organization.
- A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and good judgment when handling confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, HRIS platforms, and other HR systems. Experience with Rippling is an asset.
- Experience coordinating with multiple internal teams such as Recruitment, IT, Payroll, managers, or operations teams.
- Experience providing employee-facing support or acting as a first point of contact for HR-related questions.
- A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new areas of responsibility.
- An interest in developing a broad HR skill set and contributing to projects beyond day-to-day administration.
- Ability to work a minimum of 2 days per week on-site, including in-studio attendance during onboarding and predetermined Rush Weeks.

Pay Range: CAD $55,000 - $65,000 annual
