THE ROLE
Nelson is seeking a provincially certified educator for the position of Lead Classroom Success Educator. Reporting to the Teaching & Learning Manager, the ideal candidate will be a passionate, highly organized individual with a strong background in educational technology, project management, and educator mentorship. This role owns day-to-day operation of the Edwin Academy, acts as the primary trainer and onboarding lead for new Classroom Success members and freelancers, leads on-the-ground training sessions, manages custom requests, and supports educators with tailored resources. Successful candidates are passionate, highly organized individuals with professional development experience and a thorough understanding of the dynamics and strategic priorities of school systems across the country.
This role provides critical support to the Teaching & Learning team by taking ownership of Academy operations and freelancer coordination, contributing to the design of professional learning programs, and surfacing trends from day-to-day educator interactions to inform continuous improvement. This includes ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with educational research and account management goals. The role also collaborates closely with other members of the Classroom Success Team to advance the Edwin and Nelson mission to "create possible, one learner at a time".

- Act as the lead educator to deliver and facilitate training sessions on Edwin, easyCBM, CCAT, and any other platforms, including virtual and in-person training sessions to ensure effective platform adoption and usage.
- Source, train, and recommend freelance Classroom Success Educators, and manage their day-to-day scheduling and assignment once onboarded; final sign-off on new freelancers (e.g. mock session review) rests with the Teaching & Learning Manager.
- In collaboration with Success Leads, manage custom requests for enterprise board adoptions, ensuring all content aligns with board goals and priorities.
- Utilize data to identify low-usage schools within enterprise and site-based adoptions and proactively reach out to these schools to offer support, presentations, and professional development opportunities.
- Help monitor the health scores of site-based adoptions and work to improve engagement and platform usage across all sites.
- Maintain and update presentation templates so they remain current and reflective of the latest platform updates and educational standards, flagging new content categories or formats.
- Support the design and management of the Edwin Community of Expert Educators day-to-day, including identifying super-users within board adoptions to foster a strong and active community.
- Organize and manage the Acuity scheduling platform, including the scheduling of freelancers and subject specialists, ensuring smooth coordination for all training and presentation needs.
- Support the Teaching & Learning Manager in planning, creating, and producing national live lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all participants.
- Serve as first point of response for escalated or sensitive teacher inquiries, escalating to the Teaching & Learning Manager as needed.
- Surface patterns and trends from day-to-day educator interactions and session feedback to inform broader Teaching & Learning reporting and strategy.
