Position Scope
CMiC is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Bilingual eLearning Localization Developer (English / Québec French) to support the localization of CMiC Academy's growing eLearning curriculum.
Working alongside our English Instructional Design team and professional French translator, this role is responsible for the technical localization of English eLearning into Québec French. You will prepare Articulate Rise and Storyline courses for translation, integrate approved French content, recreate software demonstrations using the French version of the CMiC application, and ensure each localized course delivers the same high-quality learning experience as its English counterpart.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical aptitude, and proficiency in Québec French, including an understanding of the terminology, conventions, and business language used by French-speaking finance and construction professionals in Quebec. You will work with sophisticated enterprise software, reproduce real-world business scenarios, and help ensure our French learners receive training that is accurate, engaging, and consistent with our English curriculum.
This role focuses on localization and technical learning content development rather than designing curriculum from scratch, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on development, multimedia production, software exploration, and creating exceptional digital learning experiences.
What You'll Do
- Localize existing English eLearning courses into Québec French using Articulate Rise and Storyline.
- Prepare course files for translation using CMiC's approved French terminology glossary.
- Collaborate with our contract French Translator by submitting course files for linguistic review and incorporating approved translations into the final learning content.
- Recreate English screenshots and software demonstration videos using the French version of the CMiC application.
- Navigate the CMiC software to generate realistic training scenarios, including entering sample data and configuring records as required to mirror the English course examples.
- Create, update, and maintain screenshots, screen recordings, and other visual assets that accurately reflect the French software experience.
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing internal Québec French terminology glossaries and localization resources to ensure consistency across learning materials, product documentation, and future localization efforts.
- Perform quality assurance testing on localized courses, identifying and correcting formatting, multimedia, navigation, accessibility, and functionality issues before publication.
- Ensure all localized learning content maintains the instructional quality, visual consistency, functionality, and learner experience of the original English courses.
- Work closely with the English Instructional Design team as newly developed courses move through the localization workflow.
- Follow established development standards, templates, naming conventions, and project timelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve localization processes, development standards, and overall course quality.

- Strong technical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating and editing screenshots, screen recordings, and other digital learning assets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience localizing eLearning content into Québec French.
