Paladin Security is seeking dedicated and professional Health Care Security Guards to join our team in Slave Lake, Alberta. As a member of Canada's leading security provider, you will play an important role in protecting healthcare facilities, patients, staff, visitors, and property while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities- Apply strong judgment and communication skills to security and safety-related duties
- Ensure all safety and emergency procedures are followed
- Adhere to site-specific Post Orders, policies, and procedures
- Complete site-specific training and follow guidance from supervisors and management
- Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at facility access points
- Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle
- Monitor facilities for safety hazards, security breaches, and irregular activities
- Respond to incidents and emergency situations promptly and professionally
- Assist patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public when needed
- Contact emergency services including police, fire, and EMS when required
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer service in a professional manner
- Utilize two-way radios, computers, and reporting systems
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate site logs
- Promote workplace safety and support fellow team members
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability at all times
Requirements
Must Have- Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Ability to write detailed reports and maintain site logs
- Ability to make sound decisions during emergencies with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Availability for a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
- Ability to walk approximately 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs regularly
- Previous healthcare security experience
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with conflict resolution and crisis intervention
- Experience using security technologies such as access control and surveillance systems
