Paladin Security is seeking dedicated and community-focused Health Care Security Guards to join our team in Wabasca-Desmarais, Alberta. In this role, you will help create a safe and secure environment for patients, healthcare professionals, visitors, and the surrounding community.

Responsibilities- Monitor patient safety and report concerns to Protective Services and clinical staff
- Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and requests for assistance
- Follow and enforce healthcare safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Professionally manage confidential and sensitive information
- Communicate effectively using radios, computer systems, and reporting tools
- Assist visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism and compassion
- De-escalate conflicts and manage high-stress situations safely
- Maintain a secure environment through proactive observation and intervention
- Document incidents involving patients, visitors, and staff
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate daily logs
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and security concerns
- Support healthcare operations through strong customer service and teamwork
Requirements
Must Have- Must reside within 30 minutes of Wabasca
- Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available seven days per week for scheduling purposes
- Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, customer-focused, and tactful demeanor
- Ability to write detailed reports and maintain accurate logs
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to walk approximately 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Previous healthcare security experience
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience in healthcare, public safety, law enforcement, or corrections environments
