Compensation: $52,000 - $58,000 (Pro-rated)

The Role
We're looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst Co-op to support the data onboarding, analysis, and forecasting needs of our Client Success team.
This is a position for a student who has completed at least one prior co-op term and is studying accounting, economics, finance, or mathematics. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and usability of client data, while helping improve processes that drive client retention and success. In addition to your data-focused responsibilities, you'll contribute to system-building efforts that support our overall operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Analysis:
Conduct data analysis to track client engagement, churn, and meeting outcomes, focusing on identifying patterns that drive client success.
Collaborate with the Client Success team to analyze client behavior and provide insights that help improve retention and satisfaction.
Data Onboarding & Transformation:
Import and validate client financial statements, capital project data, and utility billing information.
Transform and standardize data for seamless integration into the Waterworth platform.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the Implementation and Product teams to improve data handling and reporting processes.
Communicate technical findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation:
Create clear, reusable documentation for data transformation workflows and onboarding processes.
Ensure documentation is easily accessible for team members and clients.
Requirements
Educational Background
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
Only candidates that have already completed at least one co-op will be considered.
Please list relevant coursework in your application (e.g., managerial accounting)
Analytical & Technical Skills
Proficient in Excel: You must be able to demonstrate experience using spreadsheets to analyze data and build models. Candidates will be tested on their Excel skills in the interview process.
Excel-based projects: You will be asked to describe a previous project you have carried out that demonstrated attention to detail and technical proficiency.
Leadership & Involvement
Experience in student societies, clubs, or extracurriculars, especially where you've taken on leadership or organizational roles, is strongly preferred.
Communication & Presentation
Proven ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively within a team.
Experience with case competitions and research projects is an advantage.
