Project
The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.
Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.
Position
The Enterprise Systems Support is primarily responsible for ensuring that telecom and operation technology (OT) systems delivered through projects meet operational requirements. The position acts as a key liaison between project teams and operations, providing technical support, coordination, and validation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
- Support project delivery by ensuring telecom and operational systems (e.g., VoIP, PBX, SCADA, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) are designed, configured, and implemented to meet day-to-day operational needs
- Participate in requirement reviews, design validation, and system acceptance activities from an operations perspective
- Provide technical oversight and support during deployment, testing, and commissioning phases
- Coordinate with vendors, project managers, and operations teams to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to steady-state operations
- Identify and report operational gaps or risks in proposed system designs or configurations
- Support the integration of telecom and OT systems with enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and policy compliance
- Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting issues post-implementation
- Maintain and update documentation including technical specs, configuration records, and operational procedures
- Assist with system audits, security assessments, and operational readiness reviews
- Ensure alignment with company IT/OT policies, cybersecurity standards, and operational best practices
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in supporting telecom and OT systems, preferably in industrial, energy, or Oil & Gas environments
- Strong understanding of operational requirements in a field or plant environment (e.g., system reliability, ease of use, maintainability)
- Hands-on experience with telecom infrastructure (e.g., VoIP, SIP, PBX, radio, LTE), and operational systems (e.g., SCADA, CCTV, access control, PIDS)
- Familiarity with network and system integration, and experience coordinating across project and operations teams
- Good knowledge of IT/OT security standards and protocols
- Proficient in technical documentation and system lifecycle management
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, utilities, or critical infrastructure is strongly preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA) are an asset

- As required, the position is based in Vancouver, BC, with travel to the EPC contractor's office in Houston, and Squamish (site).
