Reporting to the Director of Major Projects Pursuits and Business Development Enablement (DBD), the Business Development Enablement Manager manages firmwide business development plans and strategies that align with the goals and aspirations of Entuitive. This role manages the BD budget and is ultimately responsible for BD Enablement planning and initiatives with the input and support of regional representatives, sector/service leaders, and other key stakeholders. They will recommend timelines for BD initiatives based on enablement priorities and what requires urgent action to realize firmwide objectives. They support the Proposal Team Manager(s) and act as an Advisor for Regional BD Leads and other BD leaders.
Annual BD Planning
- Support development of annual BD scorecard to ensure alignment with firm strategy and objectives.
- Communicate regional priorities to BD regional reps and key leaders for inclusion and execution in BD plans.
- Supporting the BD Specialist, complete the first pass at quarterly BD plan review of the BD enablement team and set follow-up with DBD as needed.
- Lead quarterly updates and presentations to the Director of BD (DBD).
- Manage and oversee data analytics related to BD with support from BD Specialist.
BD Initiatives
- Foster cross-functional collaboration among BD, operations, Marcom, and executive leadership. Develop plan with input from DBD to support cross-leveraging efforts.
- Drive national BD strategies (i.e., existing buildings, portfolio/national clients, TODs, spectator sports, etc.)
Business Development Research and Strategy
- Provide coaching and support to members on client relationship management strategies and tactics per BD plans and individual goals.
- Leverage analytics and market intel to assess ROI and inform BD activities.
- Staying abreast of marketing best practices, market and industry trends, companies, and competitors.
- Develop and execute BD communications (emails, Teams Page posts, roadshows), socialization and change management initiatives with direction from DBD.
- Develop and facilitate strategy sessions on go to market framework (SWOT, competitive analysis and go to market plans).
- Support both Portfolio Client and Major Projects strategy (i.e., identify, definitions, meetings, document management, actions, etc.).
- With direction from DBD create list, definitions, and decision process for clients not to work with.
Budgeting and Driving Financial Performance (DFP)
- Manage and maintain BD budgets ensuring optimization of spending.
- Analyze BD dashboards (monthly/quarterly/as needed) and support financial performance reviews.
- Create BD expense guidelines, approval process and coordinate travel approval processes.
BD Process, Tech and Tools
- Improve BD processes including opportunity scoping and go/no-go decisions.
- Work with key stakeholders for BD process improvements, communications, and implementation with the support of the BD enablement team..
- Support DBD in creating summaries to be used for improving BD effectiveness of individuals and regions.
- Drive BD management platform (CRM) discovery, demo, decision, and implementation/training with the support of the BD Specialist..
- Establish performance metrics for all initiatives to track proposal success, business growth and team performance.
People Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow the BD Enablement team (5–8 direct reports).
- Define BD roles and provide coaching to regional and sector leaders.
- Support hiring and succession planning for the BD team.
Team Meetings & Events
- Coordinate, chair BD-related meetings and follow-up on action items accordingly. and coordinate firmwide BD events and communications.
- Partner with internal departments (i.e., MarComm, Finance, and Executive teams, etc.) on joint initiatives.
- Represent the firm at industry events and client engagements.
Proposal Management
- Oversee the full proposal lifecycle—from pre-RFP strategy to submission.
- Drive proposal quality through themes, schedules, and content libraries.
- Lead reviews, ensure compliance, and support presentation prep.
Such other duties and responsibilities as Entuitive may assign to you from time to time.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in leading and managing teams across business development, marketing, and/or operations.
- Ability to create and implement BD plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Proficiency in data analysis and expertise in using dashboards and data to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting updates, leading meetings, and fostering collaboration.
- Strong business acumen, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Proven ability to build relationships and develop networks.
- Ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders utilizing conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while juggling competing priorities.
- The willingness to be Entuitive.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Certification in BD, Strategy, Change Management or Leadership considered an asset.
