For more than 35 years, the New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP) has operated under the simple philosophy of 'home first.' It speaks to the EMP's goal of helping New Brunswickers receive the care they need in the places where they are healthiest and happiest - their homes and communities. Branded the 'hospital without walls,' the EMP makes a difference in the lives of those it serves by drastically reducing hospital admissions and greatly increasing patient satisfaction with its level of health care.
