The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the Adult Client Services Support branch as a Home Support Advisor in its Central Office located in Fredericton. An alternate work location may be considered with a documented remote work agreement.
As a member of the Long Term Care Priorities Team, the successful candidate will lead initiatives, such as those identified in the Stronger Care for Seniors: A Long-Term Care Plan for New Brunswick, that aim to improve the delivery of home support to seniors and adults living with a disability. In addition, the Home Support Advisor will provide interpretation, consultation and guidance on contract and standard issues, perform program monitoring and provide advice to senior leaders. The Home Support Advisor is expected to maintain an awareness of service developments in the province, in other jurisdictions and in professional literature related to home support service delivery. This position involves establishing effective working relationships with community partners, services providers and within the department. The ability to work effectively on an independent basis and within groups is essential. The Home Support Advisor must have strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and planning skills as well as the capacity to cope with short time deadlines. Other duties may be assigned as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree in health care profession related field such as Social Work or Nursing and at least four (4) years experience in senior care or home support OR a Bachelors degree in health care profession related field and at least six (6) years of experience in senior care or home support.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Travel throughout the province is required and candidates must have a valid driver's license.

Salary: $79, 326 to $105, 534 per anum
