Representing over 70,000 individuals, Sport Newfoundland and Labrador (SportNL) is a professional non-profit membership-based organization that is central to the development and delivery of organized sport in Newfoundland and Labrador - for everyone.

Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Games Director, the Games Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of the provincial Newfoundland and Labrador Games (NLGames) and providing support to the Canada Games as required. The Games Coordinator will ensure the success of the NLGames by managing all engagement with PSOs, liaising with government consultants on funding and policy, working with Host municipalities on facility and organizational requirements, and taking overall responsibility for the implementation of policy and delivery of the NLGames in the selected Host region. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Develop, implement, and deliver on the NLGames critical path and work plan.
· Support the implementation of the NLGames by collaborating with the Host Committee in the selected Host Region and deliver on requirements.
· Facilitate the sport selection process for participation in NLGames.
· Ensure suitability of sport facilities for delivery of NL Games, making recommendations where necessary.
· Work with the Host Committee to establish and implement an online registration system for volunteers, athletes, coaches, and managers.
· Work with the Host Committee to establish the Athlete Village for accommodations and meals during NL Games.
· Secure and coordinate transportation of teams from home regions to Host region.
· Engage St. Pierre and Miquelon as participants in the NL Games.
· Work with the Host Committee and PSOs to develop a functional schedule of competitions, ceremonies, and other events for games week.
· Overall success and smooth operations of the NLGames and delivered support to Host Region.
· Quality and success of logistical planning and scheduling of events.
· Quality and successful implementation of policies.
· Management of suppliers and vendors ensuring delivery of goods and services as expected.
· Provide support to the Games Director for Canada Games deliverables as requested.
Ideal Candidate
· Bachelor's degree or diploma in relevant field.
· Relevant experience, including multi-sport or international sport event experience and/or multi-sport Games experience.
· Knowledge of the Canadian Sport System and major Games operations considered an asset.
· Demonstrated ability to think critically and make effective decisions to solve problems.
· Project management experience is an asset.
· Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
· Proven organization and time management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure while maintaining efficient time management, prioritization, and escalation.
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
