Financial Service Representative
OMISTA is looking for a Financial Service Representative to join our Main Street Team. At OMISTA Credit Union, we believe banking is about more than transactions. It's about building relationships, understanding what matters to our members, and finding solutions that help them move forward.
We're looking for a Financial Service Representative 1 (FSR1) to join our Main Street team in Moncton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with people, has an interest in financial services, and wants to continue developing their knowledge of personal banking and lending.
What you'll do:
As an FSR 1, you'll be an important part of the member experience from the very first conversation. You'll:
- Welcome new and potential members and guide them through the account-opening and onboarding process.
- Get to know members' needs and goals and recommend products and services that are right for them.
- Provide information and support related to deposit products, credit cards, loans, lines of credit, and other financial services.
- Interview loan applicants, gather and review financial information, conduct credit investigations, and make lending recommendations within your approved lending limits.
- Prepare and complete loan documentation and ensure lending activities follow established policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Support line of credit renewals, security registrations and other lending administration.
- Respond to member questions and resolve routine concerns, following through to make sure issues are addressed.
- Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through referrals, and appropriate product recommendations.
- Stay current on OMISTA's products, services, policies and relevant legislation.
- Work collaboratively with your branch team and provide support as needed.
What you bring:
- A certificate or diploma in Financial Services, Business Administration or a related field, with at least two years of job-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- An interest in personal financial services and lending.
- The ability to understand financial information and apply sound judgement when assessing lending needs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- A willingness to learn and stay current in a changing financial services environment.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
What you'll learn:
You don't need to know everything on day one. We'll support you in building your credit union and lending knowledge, including required credit union education courses in Credit Union Products & Services and Consumer & Residential Mortgage lending.
Why OMISTA?
At OMISTA, you'll be part of a team that believes in Banking Local and putting our members and communities first. We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation and believe our people play a big part in creating a different kind of financial institution. If you're looking for a role where you can build meaningful member relationships, grow your financial services knowledge and make a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
